DevOps Engineer (System Engineer III)

Job Description:

In this role, you will be part of a team with a rewarding mission supporting our active military.

We are looking for a skilled and adaptable DevOps Engineer to support a $4.3 billion DOD Healthcare program. In this role you will be providing the modernization of Electronic Health Record (EHR) capabilities for the Department of Defense. In addition, you will support a global deployment of our proposed EHR system that will deliver improved system capability to the DoD whenever and wherever healthcare is required. This is one of the most exciting, cutting-edge programs that you can be a part of with Team. Primary Responsibilities:

• Primary responsibility to configure, deploy, and sustain Windows and Ubuntu servers within a VMWare hypervisor environment to include monthly patching and cyber-security mitigation.
• Secondary responsibility to configure, deploy, and sustain AWS EC2 RHEL servers within an AWS GovCloud hosting environment to include monthly patching and cyber-security mitigation. * Contribute to the design and use of automation and Infrastructure as Code (analyze, design, build, test, deploy, support) for large scale infrastructure implementations
• Desire and proven ability to understand/learn new technologies
• Support the integration of commercial products with custom applications to meet functional requirements while working within the constraints of the client’s IT and cyber infrastructure
• Work independently and collaboratively with application development and integration teams, network teams, Tier III, and cybersecurity team members.

Basic Qualifications:

• BS Degree and minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience.
• US Citizen with active ADP1, Tier 5 BI Clearance.
• Experience performing System Administration within DOD hosting environments
• Experience with DOD Cybersecurity remediation and patching
• Primary hands-on, implementation experience with: o Windows Server 2016 & 2019 o Windows IIS o Windows Patching using SCCM o VMware hypervisor o Powershell o Active Directory o Microsoft GPO administration o SQL server
• Secondary hands-on, implementation experience with: o Infrastructure as Code (IaC) architecture design, deployment, migration, and sustainment o Amazon Web Services (AWS) GovCloud hosting services o Linux (RHEL or Debian/Ubuntu) o Ansible o Scripting in the form of BASH/shell, Python, or Golang (Go) o HashiCorp (Packer, Terraform, Consul, Vault)
• Experience in public, hybrid, and government cloud modeling.
• Strong verbal and written communications skills
• Demonstrated self-starter and team contributor
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and conceptual skills
• Agile team and methodology experience Preferred Qualifications
• Implementation/System Administration experience with any of the following:

o Openstack o Pexip video o Docker o Kubernetes o Git, GitLab or Jenkins o MongoDB o Nginx o Atlassian Jira and Confluence o JumpCloud / Keycloak OIDC o Splunk o PKI o SCCM o Active Directory
