Eclipse is seeking an DevOps Automation | Cloud Architect – AWS to support the development of our client’s new product development. The DevOps Automation | Cloud Architect – AWS will spend their time architecting, building, and maintaining highly available, cost-efficient, and scalable AWS cloud environments, make recommendations regarding AWS toolsets and keep up with the latest in cloud computing as well as design and develop automation processes and build new applications. Additionally, he/she will design, develop, and test new automation tools, Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery systems and testing infrastructures.

He/she will deliver technical architectures and lead implementation efforts, ensuring new technologies are successfully integrated into customer environments. This role works directly with customers and engineers, providing both technical leadership and an interface with client-side stakeholders.

This role requires a wide variety of experience, strengths, and capabilities, including:

• Minimum of 5 years of work experience as an architect or a lead engineer responsible for designing large scale solutions and overseeing delivery in production
• Design and develop automation processes and build new applications
• Possess a solid understanding of security principles and applying them to the Cloud environments.
• Experience in production operations and servicing areas
• Proficiency in Java, Python, Nodejs etc.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Participate in entire software lifecycle from development, testing and CI to production operations
• Balance between product architecture, product feature development, product security and production operational concerns
• Ability to take initiative and be responsible for delivering complex software by working effectively with the team and broader set of stakeholders
• Breakdown business, design, and functional requirements to engineering tasks
• Deliver software utilizing agile disciplines and methodologies
• Write reusable, testable, efficient code and Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
• Create and maintain detailed documentation for newly implemented code, IaC and CI/CD pipelines
• Identify and communicate project risks and issues to product owners
• Additional duties as defined and assigned for the product

Requirements:

• BS or MS degree in computer science, or equivalent
• 10+ years of experience building and supporting scalable, highly available, and secure infrastructure on public cloud platforms like OCI, AWS, Azure or GCP
• 4+ years of experience with AWS multi region experience including VPC, S3, Lambda, RDS, EC2, SQS, SNS, API Gateway, Route53, and CloudFormation deployments
• Working familiarity with networking protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP) and standard network architectures
• Experience with a broad range of enterprise technologies – Java, J2EE, REST APIs & Web Services
• Experience with security and IDCS including deploying applications that integrate with large scale REST based services
• Skills working in Linux environments (strong Linux skills desired) including software scripting in Python and shell environments
• Strong understanding of databases, NoSQL systems, storage, and distributed persistence technologies
• Experience building multi-tenant, virtualized infrastructure a strong plus
• Experience with Cloud Applications Development, DevOps, and DevSecOps methodologies and practices
• Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills and an ability to effectively communicate with both business and technical teams
• Ability to make clear, concise, and compelling presentations

Skills / Experience:

• Ability to work in a fast paced and challenging environment
• Experience working on agile development teams
• Knowledge of Micro-Services architecture
• Containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Experience with telemetry, observability, and analytics tool/applications, such as ELK, Kibana, Grafana, Prometheus, and Splunk
• Experience with IoT protocols will be a strong plus
• 5 or more years of DevOps experience
• Programming knowledge in Python, Ruby, Perl, Java and similar scripting languages (Bash)
• Experience with Jenkins, Travis CI, TeamCity, and similar tools
• Experience with Chef, Puppet, Terraform, CloudFormation and similar tools
• Experience with Bitbucket, Git, GitHub and GitLab
• Configuration and managing databases (Mongo, DynamoDB, PostgreSQL)

Pay: $115,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
