Gateway Domestic Violence Services is seeking an experienced Development Manager to support our vision and provide leadership!

We are looking for passionate, dedicated employee to help build a sustainable organization for our comprehensive services. Under the direction of the Executive Director, the Development Manager is responsible for the oversight, planning and implementation of a comprehensive development program that secures significant financial resources from individuals, corporations, and foundations.

This position manages all fundraising activities that result in overall increase in donor giving through contributions, sponsorships, planned giving and creative avenues. Working with Gateway provides an opportunity to serve the community and support our mission, which is to prevent and eliminate intimate partner violence through counseling, residential care, and empowering people for social change.

A large portion of this role requires creativity and innovation in fundraising, to include planning and executing two to three major fundraising events annually, planning and implementing an individual donor giving plan, developing corporate sponsors and partnerships, and maintaining up to date information in Gateway's database to ensures all gifts are acknowledged in a timely matter. A successful candidate exhibits a high degree of professionalism, sensitivity, and integrity. This work will also demand excellent communication skills to effectively communicate organizational goals, establish trust and earn the confidence of a wide range of constituents, and assist in successful philanthropic opportunities.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO OUR ORGANIZATION

  • Bachelor's Degree required; May consider years and success in fundraising in lieu of degree.
  • CFRE Certification preferred, Gateway willing to contribute towards achieving certification if in process.
  • A minimum of 2-5 years' experience in nonprofit fundraising or proven track record of fulfilling a 2M operating budget.
  • Prior experience managing implementing a successful fundraising strategy including management of special events from start to finish.

WHAT OUR ORGANIZATION IS PROVIDING

  • Expected annual salary range of $66,000 - $70,000 depending on experience and education.

  • Paid time off, accruing per 26 pay periods annually totaling 3 weeks of vacation and 12 sick days to start.
  • 10 paid holidays and 3 personal days to use at employee's discretion.
  • Typical work schedule is Monday – Friday (9am - 5pm), with occasional evenings and weekends for events and other activities.
