The Division of Development and Alumni Relations has an exciting opportunity for a full-time Development Associate to work in Coral Gables, FL.
The Development Associate designs, implements, evaluates, and maintains comprehensive donor communications and recognition programs that consistently promote recognition of University’s highest capacity donors. Moreover, the incumbent oversees the fundraising trends of the department and ensures goals and objectives are being met.
Core Job Functions
Leads research and discovery efforts to identify new potential major donors. Creates communications to engage and steward donors meaningfully and increase awareness. Plans events and activities to cultivate major donor interest. Tracks results of annual giving programs and oversees budget to ensure adequate expenses. Improves processes to support development goals, reconciliation of restricted funding, and federal compliance. Devises portfolios of prospects for senior managing staff and creates management plan. Assumes ongoing efforts to create a qualified pipeline of prospects for major gifts. Maintains records of donor information. Develops a strategic and multi-faceted communications plan annually to attract, retain, and increase the support of donors. Establishes and continuously assesses the effectiveness of the internal controls within the unit and compliance with University policies and procedures. Ensures employees are trained on controls within the function and on University policy and procedures.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field required.
- Minimum 1 year of relevant experience. Any relevant education, certifications and/or work experience may be considered.
Knowledge, Skills and Attitudes:
- Knowledge of business and management principles.
- Ability to direct, manage, implement, and evaluate department operations.
- Ability to establish department goals, and objectives that support the strategic plan.
- Ability to effectively plan, delegate and/or supervise the work of others.
- Ability to lead, motivate, develop, and train others.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
