The Jewish Federation of Howard County (JFHC) is a dynamic, community driven, non-profit organization looking to add a team member who wants to help us fulfill our vision to meet the human needs of the local Jewish community and of fellow Jews in Israel and world-wide. JFHC provides financial and emotional support to individuals through social service initiatives, enriches Jewish life through innovative programming, and builds collaborative partnerships that foster a strong sense of Jewish community and strengthen ties with the broader local community.We are seeking a part-time (~25 hours per week) Development and Marketing Coordinator who is proactive, detail-oriented, organized, and able to adapt to changing priorities and circumstances. This team member is responsible for day-to-day activities that keep the organization running smoothly and efficiently.

- Enter pledges and donations into tracking spreadsheets and the constituent database and reconcile revenue data with bank deposit records.
- Create event registration webforms and track program and event registrations.
- Create and generate event reports and other revenue reports from the database.
- Manage processes to generate and send thank you letters, pledge reminders, tax receipts, solicitation letters, and other miscellaneous mailings.
- Enter and proactively update constituent data and contact information in the database.
- Manage Constant Contact email account including the creation and scheduling of emails for programs, events, or ongoing initiatives.
- Create flyers and other images for JFHC events and programs.
- Work with graphic designers, photographers, and other contractors to create marketing materials and publicize programs and events, as needed.
- Manage the social media channels for JFHC including content creation.
- Update the JFHC website with blog posts and new information.
- Maintain a Community Calendar on the website.
- Manage relationships with community partners and the media (JMore, Jewish Times, etc.) for sharing event information and highlighting successful programs.
- Secure media coverage for big events, as needed
- Assist with staffing at program venue for events as needed.
- Other duties, as assigned
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- 1-3 years of non-profit experience preferred.
- Previous experience with Canva and Constant Contact, or other similar applications preferred.
- Previous experience with Donor Database/CRM systems preferred.
- Previous experience with processing donations or other payments preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, including mail merging in Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Knowledge of Jewish customs and traditions preferred.
- Willingness to work occasional evenings and Sundays as needed.
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
