DEFINITION:

This position assists staff at all CCHA locations with technical support of desktop computers, applications and related technology. Support includes specifications, installation and testing of computer systems and peripherals within established guidelines. Employee will also assist in the maintenance and testing of workstations, laptops, peripherals and associated equipment. Provides advanced, hands-on technical support across a broad range of hospital applications including configuring of all .msi and .ini files and patches. Additionally as a Level Three employee this position will provide upper level support for other Desktop Support Analysts.

EDUCATION:

Associate’s degree, although we will consider applicable experience, education and/or certifications or a combination in lieu of a degree.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

3 years experience as a computer technician.

Maintaining and repairing computers and peripheral devices.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience installing software, patches, updates on Desktops, Laptops and peripherals in both the physical and virtual environments

Troubleshoot system failures or bugs and provide solutions to restore functionality.

Demonstrated experience with workstation support in compliance with government security requirements (HIPAA)

Perform maintenance to discover and mend inefficiencies

Maintain records of repairs and fixes for future reference

Offer timely technical support and teach users how to utilize equipment.

Experience using SCCM or a similar product.

Excellent troubleshooting skills

Very good communication abilities.

Knowledge of computer operating systems.

Customer service skills.

Ability to maintain parts inventory and logs for service and repairs.

Ability to work independently within established procedures.

Ability to provide leadership and functional direction to other staff.

Ability to analyze and resolve moderately complex computer problems.

Ability to perform advanced preventive maintenance on hardware.
