- Liaises and collaborates with NCL to maintain brand alignment, as well as develop and deliver on Design projects
- Serves as the subject matter expert in Nintendo’s intellectual property guidelines
- Serves as a key communication channel between NOA and NCL Design departments
- Reviews design materials submitted to Design’s art approvals email alias to ensure submissions meet Nintendo’s intellectual property guidelines; rejects materials that don’t meet guidelines and makes recommendations for changes
- Facilitates communications and serves as primary point of contact for design-related matters between NCL and NOA Design; ensures understanding and seeks clarity for outstanding questions or concerns
- Facilitates design approvals with NCL when required
- Works on multiple design projects such as photoshoots, style guide projects, Nintendo Store projects; collaborates closely with the project owner to manages tasks and communication
- Interacts with internal and external peers and/or managers to understand and exchange complex information related to assigned activities
- Manages, organizes, updates, distributes, and archives Nintendo’s digital assets
- Participates in developing recommendations and execution of improvement initiatives to resolve identified issues and implement process improvements
- Performs verbal translation for Design team meetings
- Provides written Japanese and English translations as needed
- Three years of related experience
- Fluent verbal and written Japanese required
- Knowledge of US and Japanese business cultures and customs.
- Strong project management, facilitation, and analytical skills
- Ability to work effectively and independently in a fast-paced, highly confidential environment with fluctuating priorities and deadlines
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suites
- Familiarity with graphics software (Photoshop, Illustrator) and content management software (SharePoint)
- Excellent organization skill
- Excellent business communication skills in English and Japanese
- Proven experience using negotiation skills to drive collaboration across varied stakeholders (cross-functional and external) to ensure timely execution of projects
- In-depth knowledge of Nintendo’s franchises and intellectual properties
- Ongoing knowledge of video game industry
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Art, Graphic Design, or a related field, or equivalent experience
This position includes a base salary range of $65,478 - $98,603 annually, potential for a semi-annual discretionary performance bonus, and a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and paid time off.
