Location: Foxboro, MA
Job Description:
Our client located in Foxboro, MA is looking to bring a CAD Drafter onto their team in a contract to hire capacity. The Design Drafter would be responsible for the mechanical design and layout of custom control enclosures, as well as performing drafting tasks on assigned proposals and projects. The primary drafting tool will be the most recent version of AutoCAD Lite and Solidworks Electrical. This position requires working knowledge with the design and specification of Emerson products, associated third party buy outs, and computer networking equipment.
Responsibilities

• Design and drafting of control enclosure mechanical layouts in AutoCAD Lite and Solidworks Electrical
• Design and drafting of general wiring schematics, segment and loop schematics in AutoCAD Lite and Solidworks Electrical
• Drafting of network architecture diagrams and detail layouts in AutoCAD Lite and Solidworks Electrical
• Supporting sales proposals and/or FCS group with design and drafting needs as required
• Assisting engineering team with control panel testing (HFAT) execution, document generation and IO database management
• Managing the CAD library of hardware components and growing the database to include more commonly used hardware
• Maintaining and managing the electronic CAD filing system on the corporate network for assigned projects
• Preparing submittals and final documentation binders as required
• Working with new hire drafters (or temporary contractors) to understand our general drafting guidelines
• Providing uncompromising quality on all work processes

Required

• At least a 2 year associates degree. [Degree in Engineering or related field preferred]
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in any drafting or engineering related field
• Must have strong knowledge of AutoCAD Lite program
• Must Have strong knowledge of Solidworks Electrical program
• Knowledge of Microsoft Products. (Excel, Word, Access)
• Familiar with basic process control concepts
• Familiar with interpretations of P&ID’s, electrical schematics, loop drawings and general arrangement drawings
• Should be assertive, proactive, friendly, helpful and a team player
• Must have the ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining project commitments
• Must have solid written, organization and communication skills
• Must have the ability to work in a fast paced environment, with multiple and changing priorities while maintaining strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
• Strong interpersonal skills and team player skills with an ability to communicate at all levels of the organization
• Always act with integrity and in a professional manner
• Appropriate and professional demeanor and appearance
