POSITION SUMMARY
The Chief Transformation Officer – Deputy develops and recommends the organization’s strategic and long-range goals based on analysis and study of business conditions together with the CTO. Together they ensure the best use of the organization’s resources for the establishment of key objectives and mission realization, considering the organization’s strength, weaknesses, capacity and products.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • The CTO/ CTO Deputy is responsible for implementing the ideas that will have long-term, transformational effects for the company. Every decision of the CTO/ CTO Deputy should be centered on the big picture and how it will affect the future of the company.
  • CTOs, as part of C-suite and top management, are expected to represent, implement, and observe the corporate culture that exists in the organization. The role of the CTO is focused on being the embodiment of the corporate culture and serve as an example to the subordinates.
  • Within LM Aerospace the CTO leads entire entity of transformation officers (Vice President level), Industrialization (Engineering and Manufacturing), dedicated project & continuous improvement teams all focused on transformation to create organizational and business change.
  • Areas of responsibility include all business area’s, the operating sites, value streams and suppliers primarily engaged in Assembly, Machining, or Fabrication & Processing of productS.
  • The Chief Transformation officer reports to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), while the Deputy reports directly to the CTO. And will function as his back-up and Co-transformer.
  • As part of the Transformation responsibility, the CTO shall assure fact based analysis and review, define on behalf of the CEO, together with his transformation staff, the transformation subjects, ambition -goals and targets, together with a plan, budget and implementation schedule.
  • As part of the Industrialization responsibility the CTO will through its VP of Industrialization and Continuous Improvement will be responsible to propose and execute the overall Industrialization, Engineering and Continuous Improvement strategy through all the assigned operating units in the COE.
  • Develops ideas for product manufacturing enhancement and processes. Provides expertise to other departments, such as marketing, commercial, production, quality, finance as needed.
  • Executes multiple high impact initiatives to achieve the overall corporate goals.
Travel Required
Yes, 25-50% travel expected, also international travel is expected
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCES
  • Master’s degree preferred in engineering, aerospace, operations, or related discipline
  • A minimum of 20 years of related aerospace experience and minimum of10-15 years leading cross-functional groups of people. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the industrialization, engineering, manufacturing and project management disciplines
  • Industry experience working with machining, assembly, fabrication, processing, and composites. Experience in working with multiple Aerospace manufacturing facilities in a matrixed environment.
  • Solid business acumen and possess the ability to strategically calculate how engineering impacts long term strategy and financial performance.
  • Demonstrated experience in an AS9100 compliant business using Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies to remove waste.
