Deputy Online Fundraising Director
The DNC is looking for an experienced grassroots fundraiser to manage both short and long-term projects within the ads, email, and SMS channels to acquire, reactivate, and cultivate supporters. You will be responsible for collecting relevant updates from across the Online Fundraising team to synthesize and communicate to Mobilization team leadership, DNC leadership, and external stakeholders. You will establish and maintain relationships and create processes that increase efficiency and team-wide collaboration. You will also oversee the DNC’s work with outside partners and vendors.
What You’ll Do
- Work alongside the Online Fundraising Director to manage one of the largest online grassroots fundraising programs in Democratic politics.
- Facilitate collaboration between the Ads, Email and SMS teams on creative, audience segmentation, reactivation, testing, and more.
- Working with the Email and SMS Director and Ads Director to maintain team processes and culture.
- Collaborating with the DNC’s Fundraising Analytics team to monitor and report out on performance of the ads, email, and SMS programs.
- Manage packaging and routing DNC content for review, including but not limited to coordinating approvals from outside stakeholders.
- Tracking invoicing and budget documents.
- Overseeing Online Fundraising team contracts.
- Assisting with hiring and onboarding staff as needed.

About You
- You have a strong understanding of the online fundraising landscape, best practices, benchmarks for success, and emerging digital trends.
- You thrive in fast-paced environments and demonstrate diplomatic and pragmatic problem-solving skills.
- You have strong communication skills, particularly in communicating with organizational leadership and key stakeholders – people describe you as “good at managing up.”
- You have a keen sense of political judgment, especially when it comes to working with outside stakeholders.
- You are a detail-oriented person who can juggle multiple projects at once.
- You love figuring out processes for teams to produce high-quality, impactful work.
- You’re comfortable working with consultants and vendors and have experience navigating contracts.
- You must be in the D.C. area or be willing to relocate to the Washington, D.C. area.
Preference Given for Experience
- Managing staff who raise money or win votes for an electoral campaign, advocacy organization, or non-profit organization.
- With online fundraising platforms (e.g. Action Network, Scale to Win, Mobilize America, Monday, etc.).
The starting salary for the Deputy Online Fundraising Director position is $110,000, on an annualized basis, commensurate with experience and qualifications. This position is not eligible for overtime wages, and is a supervisory position based at the DNC HQ in Washington, D.C.
This is an HQ based position with an end date of November 15, 2024.
