Northrop Grumman Defense System is seeking a Principal Logistics Planner (level 3) to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located at Edwards Ca.

The Logistics Planner employee will analyze technical data and reports to determine spares and support equipment provisioning requirements. Reviews site survey results and letters of offer and acceptance and formulates specific recommendations for spare/repair parts and support equipment. Manages and controls the asset position of customer inventories. May originate support plans for offer to potential customers and provide technical assistance to existing customer personnel. May forecast and manage budget system. Additionally, the selected candidate may receive additional training and be cross utilized into aircraft maintenance management to ensure all equipment assigned are regularly maintained.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree and six years of Logistics Planner experience; Masters and four years for relevant experience; ten years of relevant logistics job experience may be considered.
  • Must have experience with aviation or aerospace industry
  • Must have and maintain a valid U.S. passport, accept customer furnished quarters for a period up to 120 days away from primary work location and comply with mobility requirements.
  • Must meet medical and vaccination requirements for worldwide travel.
  • Must be willing to work a flexible work schedule that may include extended shifts, holidays, and weekends and support on call status for 24 hours-a-day, 7 days-a-week, 365 days a year.
  • Must possess an active DoD Secret security clearance and be able to maintain that clearance and has the ability to obtain and retain Special Program access clearance within 365 days from submission.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • DoD Top Secret Clearance
  • Aviation or aerospace operational experience is preferred over manufacturing or production, but all candidates will be considered.
  • Experience with load planning


Salary Range: $76,200 USD - $114,400 USD


Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
