Our progressive dental office is seeking a motivated person for the position of a front office coordinator. Office is new, paperless and state of the art. Candidate must have excellent phone and people skills, should be reliable, exhibit a high level of professionalism and have a strong work ethic. Responsibilities include all aspects of initial patient greeting, creation of new patient records and records management, scheduling and verification of dental benefit plan eligibility. Minimum of two to three years of dental front office experience required including billing and knowledge of various insurances. We use Oryx practice management software. training will be provided. Salary based on your experience.
Must be available to start on December 1st.

Job Summary
The front office coordinator serves as an advocate and educator in creating treatment plans for dental care. The front office coordinator is responsible for managing a variety of duties related to prospective and new patients, including coordinating all elements before, during and following the new patient appointment.
Summary of Essential Job Functions:
- Work with doctor/office manager to develop and/or understand the practice’s new patient consultation and examination.
- Prepare for new patient appointments by completing the routing slip, collecting dental benefit information (if applicable), sending a welcome letter/brochure, confirming appointments, etc.
- Introduce new patients to the practice by going over health history, explaining the doctor’s examination and describing any other features about the practice that should be highlighted.
- Conduct treatment consultations with all patients when new treatment plans are presented. Address patient concerns and answer any questions.
- Understand the practice’s policy on working with dental benefit plans and be prepared to educate patients on their dental benefits, and present payment options. Build trust, and understand the patient’s objectives.
- Monitor and track all referral sources of new patients and send the appropriate “thank you”.
- Monitor and track all unaccepted treatment plans and follow up with patients in a timely manner.
- Train all staff members on the new patient consultation if they are involved in the appointment or interact with new patients.
- Answer incoming calls to include, new patient calls, emergencies, scheduling patient appointments, requesting records, and follow up.
- Perform general office duties and other duties as required.
- Maintain regular, predictable attendance.

Minimum Requirements:
- Exceptional organizational skills.
- Ability to multitask and work with interruptions.
- Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with patients and demonstrate a friendly attitude, even while under pressure or when patients are upset.
- Ability to promote the practice and educate patients on the treatment benefits.
- Ability to perform detailed work according to the practice’s established formats and policies.
- Ability to utilize the computer, copier, credit card processing equipment, etc. (add all necessary skills).
- Dental experience required.

Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
