We are looking to add a team member to our growing and fun private practice. Specifically, looking for a dental assistant who will help continue to make the practice an efficient and pleasant experience for patients. We are looking for independent, intuitive, and hardworking individuals. You should be well-organized with great attention to detail. We want you to be skilled in providing direct or indirect patient care and able to make office procedures and tasks as smooth as possible. Looking for part-time moving the full time in the coming months.

Responsibilities

• Welcome customers in the dental office

• Prepare customers for treatments or checkups ensuring their comfort

• Select and set up instruments, equipment and material needed

• Sterilize instruments

• Assist the dentist through 4-handed dentistry

• Undertake lab tasks as instructed

• Provide post-operative care instructions

• Keep the dental room clean and well-stocked

• Maintain accurate patient records

Skills

• Proven experience as dental assistant, or strong confidence in your skills to quickly adapt to the position

• Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods

• Understanding of health and safety regulations

• Ability to perform non-surgical and laboratory tasks

• Good computer skills

• Excellent communication and people skills

• Attention to detail

• Well-organized and reliable

• Additional certification or training is an asset (e.g. EFDA)
