We provide Primary Care, Dental, Physical Therapy and Behavioral Health services to the under-served population across 12 communities in Northern Arizona. GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION
Under the supervision of a licensed dentist, performs work of routine difficulty in assisting the Staff Dentists; performs other duties as assigned.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provides chair side assistance to dentist during dental procedures.
  • Prepares patients for treatment.
  • Maintains and sterilizes dental instruments.
  • Maintains dental operatory inventory and equipment.
  • Takes digital x-rays on patients.
  • Disinfects equipment between patients and performs weekly maintenance of operatories.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma and current radiology certification.
  • 1-3 years' experience as a dental assistant.
  • Knowledge of general instruments used for different procedures and experience in taking impressions, pouring models, and making temporary restoratives.
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English, preferred
