Job description

We are a two doctor office that has been around for 30+ years. Most of the staff have been here for over 10+ years. We are looking for a friendly dental assistant or RDA who will fit in with our office. You’ll help ensure the office run smoothly by assisting the dentist and hygienist when needed. We are looking for a DA or RDA that will work every other Saturday from 8-2PM. Thanks!

We also welcome new graduates or inexperienced assistants to apply as well. We would be happy to train and teach if needed.

Responsibilities

• Welcome customers in the dental office
• Prepare patients for treatments or checkups ensuring their comfort
• Select and set up instruments, equipment and material needed
• Sterilize instruments according to regulations
• Assist the dentist through 4-handed dentistry
• Undertake lab tasks as instructed
• Provide oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions
• Keep the dental room clean and well-stocked
• Schedule appointments (only if front desk staff are busy)

Skills

• Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods
• Understanding of health & safety regulations
• Ability to perform coronal polishing
• Excellent communication and people skills
• Attention to detail
• Well-organized and reliable

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $26.00 - $30.00 per hour
