Job Description
The Dean’s Office Coordinator will provide structural support for various faculty committees on behalf of the Dean’s Office, to include faculty-hiring committees, ad-hoc search committees and the Faculty Workshop Committee. The position will also work with the Office of Academic Affairs on reappointments, reaccreditation, and compliance. The position reports to the Assistant Dean for Academic Administration. In addition, the Coordinator will oversee the planning, implementation and execution of events sponsored by the Dean’s Office.

WORK PERFORMED
FACULTY COMMITTEES
Coordinate the administrative needs of the faculty-hiring committees. This includes:
Track candidates through the hiring process, compile and maintain sensitive information, and provide reports as needed.
Gather scholarship and other documents necessary to assess each candidate, including time-sensitive, confidential documents.
Compile documents for the committees and assist with reports on faculty appointments and promotions, including processing time-sensitive, confidential documents.
Schedule and coordinate faculty candidate travel, faculty committee meetings, job talks, and other related events or activities.
Work with faculty workshop chair to support the workshop committee to include scheduling weekly workshops and arranging travel for speakers.

ACADEMIC AFFAIRS
Work within the Office of Academic affairs to assist with the reappointment process, including gathering information, preparing detailed and confidential reports.
Assist with compliance reporting to external reaccreditation agencies as well as internal administrative agencies.

DEAN’S OFFICE EVENTS
Oversee the planning, implementation and execution of events sponsored by the Dean’s Office to include receptions, luncheons, symposiums, and retirement parties.
Review event logistics; determine and execute communications appropriate for the type of event; secure spaces, catering, rentals, and other critical inputs; and oversee all other details to ensure seamless presentation for Dean’s Office events and activities.

Minimum Qualifications
Education
Work requires analytical, communications and organizational skills generally acquired through completion of an Associate's degree program.

Experience
Work requires three years of relevant experience OR AN EQUIVALENT COMBINATION OF RELEVANT EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

SKILLS
Ability to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions to problems.
Skills evaluating program performance, summarizing findings, communicating results, and forming an action plan.
Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, and coordination of people and resources.
