Job description
Hansen Talent Group is hiring a DBA to work with a large enterprise. This position will be supporting enterprise databases and data models within an AIX/LINUX environment and will be responsible for the physical and logical database designs.
Duties
- Identify and resolve information flow, content issues, and the transformation of business requirements into logical data models
- Identify opportunities to reduce data redundancy, trends in data uses, and single sources of data.
- Plan, design, enforce, and audit security policies and procedures that safeguard the integrity of and access to enterprise systems, files, and data elements
- Perform database backup/recovery responsibilities
- Create database objects and make recommendations for adaptation of new technologies or policies. Troubleshoot applications performance problems.
How to Stand Out:
- 5+ years of experience working as a Database Administrator or Analyst
- Experience working within AIX and Linux environments
- Strong understanding of physical and logical database designs as well as logical data models
- DB2 scripting preferred
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $45.00 - $55.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Overtime
Experience:
- Database administration: 5 years (Preferred)
- AIX/Linux: 4 years (Preferred)
