Odyssey is looking for a
Database Integration and Deployment Engineer. In this role you will support engineering specialist in the assessment of capabilities and limitations of the Missile Defense System (MDS) to enable well informed decisions. The candidate will work closely with Missile Defense Systems Elements engineering staff, other functional groups, and data analyst to deliver high quality and accurate information to facilitate decisions by the highest level of MDA leadership and Geographical Commanders. Ensure system under test is correctly characterized, capabilities and limitations accurately documented and understood.
Responsibilities:
Duties include, but not limited to:
- The System Assessment team supports engineering specialists in the assessment of capability and limitations of the Ballistic Missile Defense Systems (BMDS) to enable well informed decisions
- Ensure the system under assessment is correctly characterized, capabilities and limitations accurately documented and understood
- Provide database development, configuration management, and technical support for MDA’s system assessment planning team
- Provide support for the System Test and Assessment Requirements Tool (START) database
- Participate in developing the strategy for integrating START into MDA’s digital data environment
- Engage in START requirements definition, schema development, interface development, testing, data management, documentation, and user support
- Assist in the development of the START web-based user interface
- Participate in the enhancement of the SQL Server database schema and stored procedures
- Implement improvements to cybersecurity policies and practices
Minimum Requirements:
Citizenship: Must be a US Citizen
Clearance: Must have and be able to maintain a Secret Security Clearance
Education: Bachelors in STEM field
Experience: 7+ years working on missile defense-related or other complex, large DoD program / project
- Experience with Microsoft .NET framework and Microsoft SQL Server
- Familiarity with source code configuration management tools like Git
- Understanding of static code analysis tools like Fortify or SonarQube
- Experience with digital test infrastructures, models, simulations or simulation framework
- Experience supporting test planning, execution, or test requirements development
- Understanding of database development and concepts
- Web application development experience
- Proficiency in SQL, T-SQL, C#, and HTML
Preferred Qualifications: (Nice to Have)
- Master's Degree (STEM)
- Security+ certification or equivalent
