Job description
Member of Data Science team building end-to-end data pipelines for descriptive, predictive, and prescriptive analytics with focus on data extraction and processing, analytics, feature engineering/selection, modeling and evaluation, results delivery and model implementation. Contribute to the creation of analytics platforms and data products that will drive core business processes and be used by analysts across the organization. Support ongoing deployment of predictive models which help CCA members/organization. Conduct directed analysis to help clinical/business leadership make better, data driven decisions. Maintain current knowledge of emerging tools and techniques in machine learning, natural language processing, database systems, visualization, statistical modeling, data extraction/manipulation and so on. Be an expert and keep expanding knowledge in healthcare, health insurance and CCA database. Complete data science projects independently with minimum supervision and guidance. Propose and conduct optimal solution to projects independently.Work schedule: 8:30am-5:30pm, M-F. Job location: Boston, MA (working remotely from any U.S. location presently allowed). Requirements: Master’s Degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Information Systems Management or related. 4 years as Data Scientist or related including at least 2 years in healthcare or health insurance organization. Experience/technical skill set must include Python (numpy, pandas, sklearn, nlt) and R; relational databases and SQL; data visualization and tools; data exploration, data wrangling and feature engineering; machine learning modeling techniques and algorithms; applied statistics; Linux system; strong scripting and programming skills; cloud data warehouses and cloud provider services (e.g., GCP, AWS, Azure); machine learning pipeline from ideation, model training, through to deployment and production support; technology or software development environment; successful analytics projects; clinical claims and health record data; and building data pipelines in the cloud under HIPAA constraints.
