The Florida Autism Center of Excellence (F.A.C.E.) located in Tampa, FL is looking for a Data Processor to join the organization. The data processor will perform clerical work associated with data processing work methods and procedures. Duties are varied and require the application of independent judgement and the maintenance of written controls to ensure the accuracy of data produced. This position is responsible for the integrity of all data and files pertaining to student records in accordance with Corporate, District, and FLDOE guidelines. This includes gathering appropriate and accurate information and entering information into multiple database systems, maintaining up-to-date hard and soft copy records, and providing reports as required.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. All other duties as assigned.
- Prepares and maintains necessary records for location and verification of information contained in data systems.
- Gathers information, organizes material, and enters full-time equivalency (FTE) data as directed.
- Registers/Enrolls students at FACE.
- Responsible for inputting student schedules, including therapies, schedule changes, attendance, grades, updates, and program activities into district database.
- Generates student report cards on a per-term basis. Enter grades in database.
- Maintains student records and/or files, in accordance with District guidelines.
- Generates and maintains transcripts. Tracks classes needed for graduation.
- Print or Creates ad-hoc and/or system-generated reports on a scheduled basis or as needed. Maintains confidentiality of all student records per program guidelines.
- Prepares or process all needed record requests for new and departing students. Forwards the appropriate student paperwork or records to the district or receiving school.
- Tracks and accurately reports daily student attendance.
- Promotes and maintains positive community relations by coordinating efforts with outside agencies, groups, and individuals. Communicates and cooperates with families, relevant external personnel, and staff members, ensuring all communication of information (written and verbal) is clear, concise, legible, accurate, and courteous.
- Facilitator for the Enrollment Team. Responsible for responding to enrollment inquiries,
- prospective student applications, ensuring receipt of documentation for review by
- enrollment team, tracking applications and coordinating enrollment team meetings.
- Notify parents of application status, send offers when applicable and maintain the
- Prospective Student waitlist.
- Responsible for coordinating annual student health screenings. Provide backup medical assistance (medication), and front office coverage, as needed.

- EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE - High School Diploma or equivalent and two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Associate degree preferred.
- LANGUAGE SKILLS - Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general correspondence, procedure manuals, technical manuals, or governmental regulations. Ability to draft reports, correspondence, and procedure manuals, as well as to effectively present information and respond to questions from team members, Board members, parents, and the public.
- MATHEMATICAL SKILLS - Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, proportions, and percentages.
- REASONING ABILITY - Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
- PHYSICAL DEMANDS - Physical Activities: Standing, walking, sitting, handling, keyboarding, talking, and hearing. Lifting Demands: 25 – 50 pounds. Reaching Activities: Both dominant and non-dominant hand.
- Vision: Specific vision abilities required by this position include close, distant, and peripheral vision, color and depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
- COMPUTER SKILLS - Must be proficient in Microsoft applications, such as Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and other applicable computer software programs. Familiarity with terminal/console-based applications (Hillsborough County mainframe system).
- WORK ENVIRONMENT - The work environment for this position is a school setting. While performing the essential functions of this position, the employee will be exposed to students who may ask inappropriate personal questions, display socially unacceptable personal behaviors, use profanity and sexually explicit phrases, make insulting remarks or threats regarding appearance, age, sex, or race, and exhibit defiance, dishonesty, and assaultive or self-destructive behaviors. The employee is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions and may be subject to occasional local travel as required by facility needs. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $38,000.00 - $43,000.00 per year
