Job description
This position is responsible for processing screenings and referrals that impact Client Services and Operations at Health Net of West Michigan. While under the supervision of the Data Analyst, the Data Entry Specialist will have the opportunity to assist community partners by serving as the entry point to Health Net of West Michigan services and routing referrals to appropriate staff for service delivery. This position requires high attention to detail in data entry and data collection. Data Entry Specialist will directly support the Client Services team that provides services to individuals/families by addressing social determinants of health. The Data Analyst will conduct regular meetings with Data Entry Specialist to assure the position is participating in a meaningful work experience.

Pay range: $38,000 - $48,000 per year.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Receive and process referrals from Outlook inbox, Excel workbooks, and HIPAA-compliant partner accessible SharePoint site
- Distribute cases generated from referrals to Client Services Supervisors for assignment in a timely manner
- Communicate receipt of new referrals to case managers, when appropriate
- Maintain up-to-date referral processing standards of work
- Stay current with Health Net services eligibility
- Serve as contact point for case management team questions on processed referrals
- Present referral discrepancies requiring follow-up to appropriate internal or external staff
- Attend internal and external meetings as needed and requested
- Participate in appropriate data collection, according to approved procedures and as assigned
- Participate in quality assurance and quality improvement efforts to improve client, provider, and community partner experience
- Promote teamwork and good communication among all staff and volunteer team members
- Understand the extremely confidential nature of the position and documents relating to the position
- Support the organizational mission, vision, values, key strategies, and collaborative relationships with the organizations that interface with Health Net
- Adhere to all Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA) standards to protect member Protected Health Information (PHI)

- Moderate level of mental and/or visual fatigue and/or eyestrain may result from looking at a computer screen for extended periods of time.
- Occasional travel is required
- The somewhat open floor plan requires the ability to work in an office environment with moderate noise levels and activity.
