Description: The Spartan Management Group owns and operates multiple Plumbing and HVAC businesses across the U.S. We are rapidly growing and adding positions to support our locations, including a full time Data Entry Clerk. Candidates for consideration need at least two years of relatable experience.
While there are specific job responsibilities outlined below, the position requires a willingness to be flexible and assist in a variety of ways. In general, those holding this position must be great on the phone with our customers, work well with the team, have analytical skills, be detail-oriented, and able to multi-task. As with all on our team, you must take ownership of your success and failures in order to excel.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Create spreadsheets to track important customer information and orders.
  • Transfer data from hard copy to a digital database.
  • Update customer information in a database.
  • Organize existing data in a spreadsheet.
  • Verify outdated data and make any necessary changes to records.
  • Operate common office equipment, like scanners and printers.
  • Search for and investigate information contained in files.
  • Perform regular database backups to secure data.
  • Input text-based and numerical information from source documents.
  • Provide occasional administrative support.
  • Sort and organize hard copies of paperwork after entering data electronically.
  • Review data for deficiencies or errors.
  • Assist with special projects that require large amounts of data entry.
  • Provide data entry support across departments on an ad-hoc basis.
  • Type in data quickly and efficiently.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of administrative/office experience.
  • Associates Degree a plus.
  • Experience with payroll a plus.
  • Experience in the Plumbing & HVAC industry preferred but not required.
  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written).
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Self-motivated and detail oriented.
  • Capacity to multi-task, follow up, and follow through.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office.
  • QuickBooks experience a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday
