Job description

Set Solutions is working exclusively with a client in need of a full time Network Technician to support their hospital local to Houston.

You will work to diagnose and troubleshoot moderately complex network, device, and data communications problems, install and replace network hardware, software and cabling, configure and validate network switches. Participate and contribute in technical discussions that involve network infrastructure enhancements. Interface with customers to understand their needs and articulate those needs to others.

Responsibilities:

• Troubleshooting system and network problems, diagnose and solve hardware/software
• Incidents/problems
• Provide solution(s)/work around(s) to incidents and Problems
• Create, manage and evolve polices, processes and procedures
• Create and manage a SharePoint documents records library
• Install, maintain and support new Infrastructure
• Work to SLA thresholds for incident(s), request(s) and problem(s)
• Prioritizing and managing several open cases and mini projects at one time

• Systems monitoring
• Supporting Users on both hardware and Software applications
• Administer backups and restores
• Patching servers

Qualifications:

• Strong familiarity with network troubleshooting techniques

• Strong understanding of network management principles

• Strong understanding of how DHCP and DNS services work

• Demonstrated understanding of IP Addressing

• Strong knowledge of public vs. private IP addressing schemes

• Demonstrated understanding of WAN, routing techniques, and packet analysis

• Preferred any of CCNA/CCNP MCSE ITIL
• Performance monitoring IT infrastructure

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $26.00 - $45.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
