About the Position
The Data Architect works closely with the Information Management Operations Manager and is responsible for Tier 1 support of the corporate business systems, assisting with upgrades to the business systems, and assisting with implementation of new business systems. In addition, this individual will assist with the generation of new SQL driven reports, maintenance of existing reports, on demand data dumps, and other miscellaneous SQL and data related tasks.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide end user support for the accounting, purchasing, timekeeping, expense report, collaboration, reporting, and contract management business systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues as they arise with the various business systems.
- Provide business system training to end users as required.
- Work with other members of the Information Management team and software vendors as required to resolve hardware and software issues.
- Generate custom Power BI reports or modify existing reports as requested.
- Convert SSRS reports to Power BI reports as needed.
- Generate custom SQL views, stored procedures, and functions or modify existing SQL objects as needed to support report generation.
- Assist in the implementation and testing of upgrades to corporate business systems.
- Assist in the identification, implementation, and testing of new corporate business systems.
- Assist with the setup, configuration, and integration of business systems to support contract phase-ins.
- Other tasks as defined.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field
- 0-2 years’ experience supporting corporate business systems
- Experience with the following is preferred:
- Microsoft SQL Server T-SQL
- Database design concepts
- Power BI and SSRS reporting technologies
- Microsoft certification preferred
- Excellent written and oral communication skills with strong technical documentation and interpersonal skills
- Ability to remain organized while performing multiple tasks with various priorities
- Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical users
- Must be a self-motivated achiever who gains satisfaction from providing excellent customer service.
- Must be a U.S. citizen.
