About the role:
The Data and Reporting Analyst will be responsible for ensuring the on-going data and reporting needs for WNY CMC, PC are met. This is included but not limited to designs, builds, tests, and validation of new or existing reports through data research and analysis. The Data and Reporting Analyst will develop and maintain both ad-hoc and scheduled reports to support internal WNY CMC, PC functions, The Data and Reporting Analyst will use data obtained from multiple systems to include Medent EMR, Healthy Outcomes, and other data repositories as appropriate, to calculate performance and analyze trends.
This position will report to Clinical Services Manager
Responsibilities:
Responsible for the administration, maintenance, development, configuration (when applicable) and testing of business systems including extracts.
Participate in designated strategic, research, quality, and assigned projects.
Coordinate the development and implementation of integrated system and workflow processes within applications and other enterprise systems to ensure consistent and effective data and process outcomes across the organization.
Candidate Qualifications:
- Associate degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Four (4) years of data and/or analysis experience required, Healthcare experience preferred.
- Two (2) years of experience in data mining concepts and tools required (SQL, SAS, Access, other).
- Expert knowledge of reporting tools required (Excel, Cognos, Business Objects, other).
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills, with demonstrated ability to identify and probe data anomalies in order to provide meaningful analysis for actionable solutions and business decisions.
- Ability to articulate and communicate complex data results in layman’s terms to support business decisions.
- Proven well organized capabilities and strong attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills. (Advanced Excel skills required)
- Ability to innovate and enhance existing solutions.
- Ability to work with, manipulate and synthesize large datasets for analysis, performance measuring, key insights, and presentation.
- Effectively handle shifting assignments and priorities to meet deadlines.
