JOB SUMMARY: Collaborate with UPR product owners to implement and measure price recommendations to increase financial performance. Identify key performance indicators to monitor price performance. Assist with testing predictive models to ensure adoption of pricing recommendations. Identify ongoing needs of UPR product owners to assist in the continual evolution of the Revenue Management System.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support implementation of pricing recommendations by communicating pricing recommendations to product owners and explaining impact of pricing decisions; collaborate with product owners to take action to drive incremental revenue.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards/reporting and drive performance measurement. Identify data needed to drive these reports and as needed write scripts/code to prepare data for use in reports. Understand ongoing pricing and reporting needs of the Food & Beverage organization and collaborate with the Revenue Management team to devise solutions to address these needs.
  • Support automation of Revenue Management decision making and identify opportunities to drive incremental profitability. Support efforts will include data preparation and data model refinement.
  • Test model accuracy, adjust price, calculate demand sensitivity and make recommendations that maximize profitability. Measure market response at the product and category levels across multiple locations and parks. Establish and maintain baseline historical pricing, seasonality, transaction volume, revenue, penetration, per capita, pricing, etc.
  • Provide Revenue Management System training to product owners to allow them to effectively use the system to evaluate, approve and implement price recommendations.
  • Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

SCOPE: Develop Revenue Management models and solutions for Food & Beverage.

EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree is required in relevant field; Master’s degree is preferred. Relevant areas of study include Analytics, Business Analytics, Data Analytics, Data Science, Data Management, Decision Science, Management Science, Management Information Systems, Operations Research, Finance, Economics, Industrial Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or related.

EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
  • Experience writing complex SQL queries to retrieve and summarize data.
  • Experience with programming languages such as Python is valued. E
  • Experience with reporting tools such as Tableau also an asset.
  • Knowledge of other tools such as R, SAS, and SPSS are a plus.
