Who we are looking for

Lucky for you, we have an immediate opening for a Data Analyst working with our stellar Engineering team. You'll need to be analytical, capable of solving complex problems, and bold enough to turn a galaxy's worth of location data into hyperspace business solutions. You'll partner with our development team to unlock insights and create meaningful action. You'll help us reach our full potential by using your technical skills to assess, curate, and visualize data while telling a compelling story that could shape the future of our company.

What you need to get the job done

Requirements:

• Knowledge of and hands on experience with relational databases
• MySQL experience a plus
• Knowledge of data visualization best practices
• Familiarity with various operating systems
• Analytical mind with problem solving aptitude
• Advanced organizational and prioritization skills, able to work independently
• Excellent and precise communication skills
• Strong mathematical and statistical skills
• Value accuracy and attention to detail

What you'll do for us

Responsibilities:

• Have fun! Enjoy the interactions with our customers and your co-workers
• Work with departments outside of engineering to understand and define reporting needs
• Craft SQL queries that generate custom reports and feed data into visualization tools
• Create and update data visualizations and dashboards
• Foster a collaborative relationship with engineering to identify and prioritize data improvement opportunities
• Apply statistical knowledge to guide report creation and refinement
• Perform validation and verification testing
• Identify and evaluate new technologies for implementation
• Automate tasks through appropriate tools and scripting
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned, within the scope of practice
• Participate in company cultural training initiatives, including Arbinger methodologies, and apply learned principles in your work and in your interactions with others
• Work hard, master your craft, and enjoy the journey - boldly going where no SaaS company has gone before
