General Position Summary:
The Data Analyst is responsible for producing analytical solutions (i.e. reports, dashboards, tools, etc.) for leadership and key stakeholders across the organization in support of business and operational functions.
Essential Functions:
- Design and produce ongoing reports and other documentation of data outcomes based on business needs and guidance from senior leadership and management
- Acquire, validate, and analyze data
- Work with cross-functional leadership to identify Key Performance Indicators to measure the effectiveness of business operations and customer success
- Assist in identifying process improvements in relation to data process
- Recommend and implement ways to enhance data integrity, quality and availability of data and data dashboards across the organization
- Provide quality assurance and monitoring program of clean data through data audits and data validation
- Actively encourage productive teamwork and harmony
Secondary Functions:
- Other duties as assigned
- Participate on committees and work groups as needed or assigned
Requirements
Skills & Competencies:
- Analytical and systems thinking
- High proficiency in SQL, database function, spreadsheet (Excel)
- High proficiency in word processing
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication, organizational, analytical, PC skills and presentation experience
- Ability to learn new procedures and follow current procedures and best practices
- Must be detail oriented and possess organizational skills and accuracy
- Ability to manage projects
- Takes initiative, ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Proactive, positive attitude
- Appreciation of cultural diversity and strong sensitivity towards target member population
- Ability to adhere to the values and mission of BPA Health
Experience and/or Education requirements:
- Education in analytics related field such as mathematics, information systems, computer science, finance, business management plus minimum of 2 years’ experience working in data analytics; or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background. Bachelor’s degree a plus.
- High level proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- High level proficiency with databases and database management systems
- Healthcare records experience preferred
- Knowledge of Sage, Zoho a plus
- Project management and systems integration experience a plus
