Customer Service Representative/Grading Specialist Job Description


Hours: 7:00am – 4:00pm

Location: Elizabethtown, Pa.


The Customer Service Representative/Grading position is an integral part of our daily operations at AmpliSource, and it is vital that this individual possesses certain qualifications and skills. This position requires managing customer relations, fielding inquiries about the company's product, quality control of inbound product and communicating results back to vendors, working with management to establish schedules, and handling any coinciding conflicts.

Must be comfortable with changing environments and be excited to try new things and be willing to put effort into getting better.

Ability to work well with others as well as independently.

Adaptability with daily inbound material and job task changes.

Occasional overtime required.


JOB REQUIREMENTS

Ability to work in a team setting.

Great communication abilities, including written and verbal communication.

Good problem solving and decision-making abilities.

Effective time management, prioritization, and multitasking skills.

Handling customer inquiries: specifically, regarding products offered by the Company.

Collaborating with Sales and Procurement on daily and future goals.

Reviewing customer accounts and transactions to resolve and work through any issues.

Communicating with customers in-person, through email or chat, and over the phone.

Monitoring customer and vendor satisfaction.

Build sustainable relationships and trust with vendor accounts through open and interactive communication.

Handle complaints, provide appropriate solutions and alternatives within the time limits; follow-up to ensure resolution.

Grading inbound products, communicating back to vendor, process vendor accounts and file documents.

Close the loop on all inbound product to accounting.

Follow communication procedures, guidelines and policies.

Perform additional responsibilities as requested.

Assistance with scheduling inbound and outbound loads; reach out to customers/vendors the prior week to confirm needs.

Help manage third party carrier relationships.

Aid in any general questions such as price, freight quotes, product descriptions, etc. and pass along escalated questions.

Research and execute a better inbound/outbound scheduling system including capabilities to ascertain orders via text, email, phone 24 hours a day.
