Position Summary:
The Customer Service Representative will provide inside sales support, management of accounts and orders for customers while simultaneously meeting the objectives in the Customer Service Department.

Essential Functions:
Order entry

Provide quotations

Check pricing

Coordinate with other departments

Notify customers of shipment information

Assist other CSRs

Provides Sales Dept. and/or customers with pricing on bills of material

Meet customer inquiries

Work with customers and offer alternatives to help resolve problems

Maintain and file all proper records related to customer inquiries, orders, etc.

Serve on special project teams

Assist in training new personnel

Monitor, evaluate, and present solutions to potential problem areas affecting Customer Service

Prepare customer complaints, records information, resolves customer conflicts and emergencies

Prepare and forward preliminary paperwork for return of material

Knowledge, Demonstrated Skills & Abilities:
Minimum high school graduate or equivalent

Four years industrial or manufacturing sales experience preferred

Good computer skills and experience

Requires diligent presence in work area to be responsive to customer calls and e-mails

Knowledge and experience with telephone contact preferred

Good communication, interpersonal, and persuasive skills

Good patience and ability to deal with people

Must be a self-motivated, self-starter

Working Conditions:
Since this is a heavy industrial environment there will be exposure to fabrication shop operations. The employee will be exposed from time to time to the following working conditions: extreme heat and cold, noise, vibration, oils, and atmospheric conditions such as dust and fumes.

When in the shop production area, the employee will be required to wear a uniform as well as the determined PPE which may include steel toed metatarsal shoes, safety glasses with foam lining, face mask, gloves, a bump cap, or hearing protection.
