The Customer Service Associate is an important first-line of contact with our customers, setting the tone for how our company and services are experienced.
The Customer Service Associate is responsible for processing a high volume of orders accurately and manages all aspects of the customer order fulfillment process which includes order entry through delivery.
Major Responsibilities
- Process daily orders through, phone, email, fax and EDI
- Professionally handle incoming requests from externals and internal customers and ensures that issues are resolved both promptly and thoroughly by clarifying the customer's complaint; determining the cause of the problem; selecting and explaining the best solution to solve the problem; expediting correction or adjustment; following up to ensure resolution.
- Responsible for daily management which includes reviewing the status of all open orders.
Administrative Responsibilities
- Perform assigned administrative activities in support of individual and team objectives.
- Schedule meetings and make travel arrangements as requested.
- Exercise discretion and independent judgment in analyzing information requests and determining trends.
- Organize, maintain and distribute files, reports and mail.
- Provide administrative support for sales and company executives.
- Responsibilities to include calendar management, making travel arrangements, communications, client relations, expense reporting, webcast management, management of team meetings and events and managing administrative inquiries as appropriate.
- Serves as a primary point of direct administrative contact and liaison with other offices, individuals, and external institutions and agencies on a range of specified issues; organizes and facilitates meetings, conferences, and other special events, as required.
- Gathers, enters, and/or updates data to maintain departmental records and databases, as appropriate; establishes and maintains files and records for the office.
- Composes and prepares written documentation and correspondence for the office; screens and evaluates incoming and outgoing correspondence and prepares responses as appropriate.
- Coordinates and oversees the day-to-day management of supplies, equipment, and facilities for the department.
- The ability to multi-task and work in a team environment is extremely important.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills and the ability to work effectively without direct supervision. Knowledge of current and emerging trends in technologies, and proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
Education
- High school diploma/GED required; Associates or higher Degree is preferred.
- Professional Experience 1-3 years experience in customer service or as an administrative assistant
- Demonstrated ability to use Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
