Job description

We’re searching for an experienced custodian to add to our incredible team at Loopy Cases. Loopy Cases is a local, family-owned growing business housed in a newly built warehouse building in Griffith, IN.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Performs general cleaning and janitorial duties in the common areas of the building

• Performs minor repairs and maintenance such as replacing light fixtures or unclogging pipes

• Assists in cleaning and sanitizing restrooms and cafeteria

• Performs limited grounds maintenance such as cleaning snow from sidewalks and debris from around the building

• Ensures heating and cooling systems are operational.

• Maintains a neat and orderly janitors’ room; ensures cleaning and maintenance supplies are stocked

• Washes windows and doors

• Assists in examining warehouse for safety hazards; reports deficiencies to management

• Performs other related duties as assigned

Qualifications and Skills:

• High school diploma or equivalent required

• 2 years prior experience in a similar position

• Prolonged periods standing

• Must be able to lift, bend, stoop, climb, reach, and lift up to 50 pounds at a time

• Knowledge of safety hazards and proper use of various cleaning and sanitizing solutions

• Detail-oriented and thorough

• Ability to perform basic repairs and operate tools or equipment used in routine maintenance

• Ability to keep the warehouse clean and orderly

• Able to work with all levels of staff

• Applicants will need to pass the background check in order to be hired for the role
