ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Represents the Agency in all interactions with other members of the Agency community and with the general public, displaying courtesy, confidentiality, consideration, and discretion.

2. Maintains cleanliness of assigned areas such as restrooms, offices and hallways; dusts counters, furniture, window sills and other surfaces; empties trash containers; sweeps, mops, waxes floors and/or vacuums and cleans rugs and carpets; washes windows, walls, toilets, sinks, and fixtures using proper cleaning agents.

3. Fills soap dispensers, refills paper towel racks and distributes toilet paper and other supplies as necessary.

4. Recycles paper, aluminum cans, cardboard and other recyclable materials at assigned site(s), where applicable.

5. Where applicable, maintains outside areas including sweeping sidewalks, parking lots, driveways and entrance areas; maintains lawns; picks up debris from the grounds and performs snow removal.

6. Where applicable, maintains picnic areas including cleaning of picnic tables and raking as scheduled.

7. Maintains floors and carpets by operating high and low speed scrubbers and carpet extractors.

8. Maintains security of the building by being able to secure/lock the facility and set the alarm.

9. Maintains a high standard of personal appearance.

10. Complies with federal, state, and local laws and safety regulations; complies with Agency policies and respects the confidentiality of customers and persons served.

11. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing group-oriented goals and providing support and information to other employees and managers as needed.

12. Maintains equipment to ensure that it is operating properly.

13. Operates a company vehicle and is able to transport equipment from location to location

14. Flexible to work numerous contracts and assist with project work(windows, floors, carpets)

15. Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Ability to provide routine maintenance and cleaning- 1-5 years’ experience
• Ability to work independently and to follow directions with limited supervision
• Ability to engage in physical activity including standing, walking, descending stairs
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to use broom, mop and vacuum as applicable
• Ability to work as a member of a team
• Able to work Night Shift 5:00PM – 6:00 am
• Criminal background check that meets Agency standards

PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT

• Most duties are performed in the assigned facility and/or outside in the surrounding area.

PHYSICAL EFFORT/OCCUPATIONAL RISKS

• Standing for extended periods of time, walking, climbing and descending stairs, bending, reaching, lifting or moving a maximum of 30 lbs. on a regular basis
