Job Purpose and ObjectivesAssists in maintaining Reno County owned buildings by keeping them neat and clean, and by being observant, recording items needing repair by the maintenance technicians. This part-time position acts in a supportive role to the full-time crew, and may or may not include all essential duties, depending on departmental needs and current job assignments. Job Competencies
Dust chairs, tables, shelves, and other furniture and equipment. Wash windows, walls, woodwork, blinds, etc. Clean and sanitize bathrooms, replenish supplies -paper, soap, and other supplies, as needed. Vacuum, sweep, mop, buff, and shampoo floors as directed. Place hazard signs to warn public of possible slick floors. Report items needing repair such as light bulbs, doors, etc. Protects and maintains any confidential information you have access to, whether oral, written, or electronic. Operates all job-related equipment, machinery, tools and other aids as required or needed. Position Requirements and Qualifications
Position Requirements - High school diploma or G.E.D. preferred. Minimum 1-year previous experience desired. Shall be a US citizen or Non-US citizen that must be able to perform the work in or for the United States. Shall be at least 18 years of age. Shall be screened for a record of criminal activity and criminal history using a named-based record check before employment is offered or before job duties are assigned that might expose them to KCJIS-sensitive information. Shall be screened for a record of criminal activity and criminal history using a fingerprint-based check within 30 days after initial employment or assignment and before unconditional employment is offered.
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities - Ability to understand any and all safety requirements and cautions. Ability to understand written and/or oral instructions. Ability to meet attendance standards. Ability to attend periodic meetings and in-service presentations. Ability to comply with all countywide and departmental policies and procedures.
Certifications / Licenses - Must possess and maintain a valid Kansas driver"s license. Work Environment and Pre-Employment Screenings
