BayCare is currently in search of our newest CT Technologist to join the imaging team at Bloomingdale Health Hub in Valrico, FL who is passionate about providing outstanding patient care and customer service to the community.

CT Technologist Responsibilities:

• Documents appropriate patient information without using the prohibited abbreviations

• Assures complete and accurate documentation regarding clinical, operational and regulatory reports
• Coordinates room and ensures equipment is properly set up and patient is prepared before directing the clinical staff/provider to the room
• Delivers, telephones, or faxes preliminary reports within department timelines
• Operates radiographic equipment according to protocols
• Verifies that patient information is correct and appropriate exam has been ordered contacting requester if modifications are appropriate

• Recognizes, responds to and documents adverse reactions and complications
• Maintains department equipment and supplies
• Prioritizes patients according to status and disease process and time ordered
• Utilizes RIS and equipment data management skills to meet customer needs
• Uses at least two patient identifiers for all required procedures as identified by policy

• Uses the preoperative and interventional verification process as identified by policy
• Uses the read back verification process for taking verbal and telephone orders and when receiving critical test results
• Verifies patient identification prior to providing services per established policy (i.e. checking the ID band, etc)
• Washes hands prior to and after contact with customers, patients, residents, etc.

Certification & Licensure:

• Required - BLS Certification

• Required – Radiology License

• Required - ARRT Certification

Education:

• Required – Technical Diploma (Radiology)
