POSITION SUMMARY: Under the direction of the Aggregate Superintendent, the Crusher Maintenance completes assigned maintenance tasks.

DUTIES:

• Responsible for set-up and repair of the crusher and all related equipment.
• Responsible for fabrication of new equipment, utilizing welding abilities.
• Responsible for changing ground engaging tools on crusher support equipment.
  

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum of 5 years' crusher operator experience and crusher plant operation knowledge.
• Must be NCCCO Certified or become NCCCO Certified within 90 days.
• Must be familiar with jaw, cone, and impact crushers and their operation and repair.
• Must be familiar with conveyor systems and their operation and repair.
• Must be able to weld, cut, and fabricate.
• Attention and commitment to a safe work environment required.
• Ability to safely move at least 80 pounds.
• Must be detail oriented, have basic computer skills, and ability to multitask.
• Must have a general knowledge of aggregates and all processing equipment.
• Ability to work in a team environment with minimal supervision.
• Must be willing to work various shifts. Including filling in for vacationing employees.
• Must be able to perform Workplace Examinations.
  

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/SAFETY:

• Sitting:10% of time.
• Standing: 60% of the time.
• Climbing: 20% of the time. This includes shop ladders, equipment access ladders, and climbing under equipment for maintenance.
• Driving: 10% of the time.
• Weight Lifted: Must frequently be able to lift and carry up to 50-80 pounds. Heavy items may be required to be lift above one's head and maneuvered while sitting, kneeling and laying down. For safety, assistance will be provided for heavy objects.
• Physical Movement: May frequently be required to walk and work over uneven ground, balance, stoop/crouch, kneel, grab, drag, climb and hold objects.
• Working Conditions: 30% of time will be spent working indoors, and 70% of the time will be outside in all elements of weather.
