Mehlville Fire Protection District Is Hiring 12-Hour Shift Critical Care Paramedics!

Deliver basic/advanced life support and critical care with compassion, dedication and expertise in accordance with established protocols. MFPD’s CCP team is unique in St. Louis County and outperforms regional, state and national performance metrics (CARES report). CCPs perform advanced patient assessment and operate sophisticated equipment including mechanical ventilators, IV infusion pumps and ultrasound to enhance care and decision-making in a variety of critical illness situations.

Minimum Job Requirements:

• Must be a high school graduate or possess a state-issued GED
• Must possess a current Missouri EMT-P License
• Must possess a current Driver’s License
• Preferred certifications include CCP, ACLS, PALS, PHTLS or ITLS, and AMLS
• MFPD will pay for CCP-C and other certifications
• Ability to work seven 12-hour shifts in a two-week period (2,184 hours per year)
• Ability to meet the physical demands and perform essential functions of the position, including regular attendance
• Previous experience as a Paramedic or Critical Care Paramedic is preferred

Wages: $66,627 without CCP Certification; $73,627 with CCP-C or FP-C Certification
