LSSI is seeking an full-time energetic person to join our team as a Crisis Follow-Up Therapistin our Screening, Assessment & Support Services (SASS) program on the Northwest side of Chicago.

EssentialFunctions:

  • Assess children, Adolescents, and/or adults in psychiatric crisis for hospitalization and facilitate hospitalization or safety plan at location of need.
  • Provide intensive short term community based counseling/therapy, family therapy, community support, and case management services to SASS/SASS CST clients.
  • HFS required trainings (De-escalation, Crisis Safety Planning, Mobile Crisis Training)
  • Coordinate treatment with other service providers (School, PCP, Psychiatrist, DCFS etc.)
  • Certification in IM CAT and/or IM CANS.

Position Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Social Service or counseling field.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work with clients in the community.
  • Valid drivers' license, proof of valid vehicle insurance, and access to an insured vehicle.
  • Must pass a State of Illinois criminal and DCFS background check.
