Position Summary

The Credit Operations Specialist position utilizes strong technical skills to provide auxiliary support to the Credit Operations Officer as it relates to Credit and Lending functions. This position is responsible for oversight of specific processes related to the ongoing administration of the Credit and Commercial Loan Support departments. Such processes may include, but are not limited to, collateral monitoring functions, loan portfolio monitoring and reporting, GL balancing, and ongoing data integrity. The position may also provide oversight for certain tasks performed by the Credit Administrator.

Essential Job Functions Include but are not limited to:

  • Assist the Credit Operations Officer by independently evaluating processes and procedures related to ongoing credit administration and loan portfolio monitoring, and communicating areas where efficiencies can be gained and/or risks mitigated.
  • Responsible for all commercial loan collateral monitoring activities, including but not limited to, construction inspections, floor plan audits, and tracking and monitoring of borrowing base certificates.
  • Provides oversight and review of all loan maintenance performed in conjunction with credit-related tasks, including but not limited to, risk ratings, loan policy exceptions, and configuration of collateral records.
  • Provides a secondary review to loan input by reviewing weekly new and renewed loan coding.
  • Provides support to the construction loan administration process by performing a regular review of construction loan disbursements to ensure loans remain in balance and funds are being disbursed appropriately.
  • Assists the Credit Operations Officer with preparing various loan reports for senior management, as well as gathering requested data for audits/exams as needed.
  • May assist the Credit Supervisor with administration of Credit Department workflow as needed

Digital Skills

Demonstrate the efficient and effective use of digital productivity tools, from basic to advanced, commensurate with specific job requirements, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Skype, dual monitors, chat, and screen sharing, and take precautions against viruses. Interest and ability to learn new applications.

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in related curriculum preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 3 years experience in Credit Analysis or Commercial Loan Operations preferred
