Description/Job Summary

NIGHT SHIFT (5:30PM-4:30am, Monday-Friday)

Assist the workstation operator in producing a good quality product safely and efficiently; by conducting thorough quality checks along with stacking, packaging, trimming and welding product according to standard and/or customer requirements.

Responsibilities/Duties

• The Utility employee has the authority to assist operators in the setup of machines. The (laminate assigned) utility worker has the authority to set up laminate material, change rolls and make knife adjustments. The (slitter assigned) utility worker has the authority to set up blades for product slitting requirements. The (Die Cutter) utility worker has the authority to make pressure adjustments on the machines.
• Clean, inspect, and stack the product according to standard or customer requirements. Examples include, but are not limited to, cleaning the work area, checking product dimensions, checking die cut quality, cleaning die cut holes, etc.
• Package materials according to Coroplast Standards of packaging.
• Hand trim laminate.
• Weld boxes.
• Sort material as needed.
• Install and uninstall dies on die cutter workstations.

Required Skills

• Climbing, ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles and the like, using feet and legs and/or hands and arms. Body agility is emphasized.
• Machine operation, inspection, close assembly, clerical and administrative duties. Example: Preparing and analyzing data and figures, accounting, transcription, data entry, CRT exposure, extensive reading, visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, using measurement devices or fabrication of parts at distances close to the eyes.
• Position requires individual to differentiate colors, depth and perception.

Required Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Have good oral and written communication skills.
• Be available for overtime.
• Complete basic math such as adding, dividing, subtracting, percentages, etc.
• Train on different machinery and different lines as needed.
• Must be able to read a ruler to 1/16"
• Good organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks.

This is a NIGHT SHIFT POSITION, you must be willing to work 5:30pm-4:30am, Monday thru Friday.

• Inside environmental conditions protected from weather conditions, not necessarily temperature conditions.
• Subject to hazards such as moving machinery, electrical currents, falling debris, exposure to chemicals, gases, high heat or explosives.
