Requirements:- Verifies and corrects appropriate posting and billing of examinations.
- Utilizes CPT and HCPCS codes to properly classify diagnosis and procedure for all services performed in accordance with established protocols.
- Must have the ability to process high volume of data.
- Advance knowledge of medical codes involving selection of most accurate and descriptive code using CPT and ICD-10 codes for billing of third party resources.
- Advance knowledge of medical terminology, abbreviations, techniques and surgical procedures, anatomy and physiology, and major disease processes to identify specific clinical findings, to support existing diagnoses, or substantiate listing additional diagnoses in the medical record.
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Required: CPC Coding Certification
- Minimum of 2 years experience with CPC Certification required
- Experience with personal computers and software related to medical billing operations.
