Job description
Local CPA firm has an opening for an audit manager. Must have experience with financial reporting requirements and generally accepted auditing standards. Audits and reviews primarily involve small business, CIRAs, and not-for-profit organizations. Must be able to read and understand technical forms and financial documents. Responsible for creating financial statements and related financial reports. Experience with property owner/homeowner associations is a plus.
The firm is a local CPA firm, and the client base includes a number of individual and small business clients. Therefore, experience with both individual, as well as small business, income tax return preparation is also needed.
Must possess strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with clients to gather all required information, and with staff to provide training and guidance.
This position requires a CPA credential, and we are requesting about 4-7 years of public accounting experience. Must be proficient with Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Word and Excel. Quickbooks experience is preferred, as is experience with Thompson Reuters (Accounting CS, UltraTax) software. Must possess strong organizational and analytical skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Should possess strong written and verbal communications skills. Please note that this position provides excellent advancement opportunities, as we are looking for a candidate who will be able to take over client responsibilities of a retiring partner.
Salary is commensurate with experience. Benefits include health insurance, 401k, and other employee benefits. This position also involves overtime, including Saturday hours during the busy season.
