Court Operations Manager, Hennepin County, Centralized Services Divisions
Job description
Hennepin County District Court invites qualified applicants for a Court Operations Manager position overseeing Centralized Services. The Centralized Services Divisions include the Contact Center and Records Center. The Court Operations Manager will collaborate with internal stakeholders, justice agency partners and staff to provide exceptional customer service and ensure Centralized Services is managed in a manner consistent with the Court's mission and vision. This position will lead a team of two Court Operations Supervisors and approximately 20 staff.
This position will be based at the Hennepin County Government Center at 300 South 6th Street Minneapolis, Minnesota. The core hours for this position are 8:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m., Monday-Friday, but may vary depending on the assignment and operational needs. This position will primarily work onsite, with some flexibility to work remotely, depending on business needs. Interviews will be conducted virtually via Zoom.
What You Will Do
Provide direction and guidance to supervisors regarding prioritization of work and the hiring, training and coaching of all employees in the Centralized Services Division.- Monitor key divisional performance measures.
- Develop and implement management principles and operational strategies to improve workflow efficiencies, team cross-training and customer service in a high-volume environment.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, justice agency partners, and other court divisions to build trust, increase efficiencies and ensure the fair and timely processing of court processes.
- Oversee projects as they relate to new technology initiatives, workload management, change management or other division priorities.
- Represent Centralized Services Division in interactions with other district courts and State Court Administration regarding the development of new procedures and processes or special projects.
- Collaborate with and facilitate regular meetings with internal stakeholders, and justice agency partners, to ensure good relationships between agencies.
- Participate in divisional and district-wide strategic planning and oversee efforts to achieve goals.

Considerable knowledge of effective supervisory and management techniques.- Experience in evaluating, counseling, and coaching staff and frontline supervisors.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a wide variety of individuals within and outside of the organization: state court administration, judicial district administrators, judges, court employees, supervisor, subordinates, other governmental and private organizations, and the public.
- Effective conflict resolution, critical thinking, and decision-making skills.
- Exceptional communication skills, interpersonal skills, and emotional intelligence.
- A personal, proactive commitment to diversity and inclusion that helps to effectively foster a culturally diverse environment.
- Ability to navigate and lead others through change and ambiguity within a complex organization.
- Considerable knowledge of court procedures and policies, legal documents, laws, and legal factors pertaining to the various divisions and functions of district court.

- Ability to express ideas concisely and clearly, orally and in writing.
- Ability to analyze, recommend, and implement changes and strategic plans.
- Ability to operate at an executive level with judges, court leaders, justice partners and the public and maintain effective working relationships with others.
- Ability to develop and implement organizational change initiatives. Ability to relate to individuals both within and outside the court system through appropriate communication styles.
What You Must Have
Below are the past experiences that will enable success in the role. For education requirements listed, the equivalent number of years of related experience may serve as a substitute.
- High school diploma or equivalent and five years of experience as a Court Operations Supervisor or other equivalent supervisory experience.
- OR a combination of education and at least one year of relevant supervisory experience.
- As this position may be working partially remote, access to a reliable internet connection is required during this time.
Nice to Have
- Bachelor's degree in business, public administration, or a related field.
What You Will Earn
The expected starting salary range for external candidates is $34.34-$43.80 per hour ($71,701.92-$91,454.40 annually). The full salary range for this position is $34.34-$53.25 per hour ($71,701.92-$111,186.00 annually). Additional Information
Work involves remaining in a stationary position most of the time in front of a computer, using a keyboard, mouse, and telephone. Regularly operate a computer and other office equipment. Occasionally move about the work site to access file cabinets, office equipment, etc.
