Allegheny County Department of Human Services, Children, Youth and Families is seeking hard-working, forward-thinking applicants who are dedicated to the safety, security, protection and stability of children within our county.
The Program Director, Program Integration, Allegheny County Department of Human Services (DHS), Office of Children, Youth and Families (OCYF), under the direction of the Deputy Director, OCYF, is responsible for and oversees program office planning, analysis, and coordination for service, child and family and systemic needs and respective responses as informed by federal, state and local requirements and community findings. Additionally, coordination of agency and inter-programmatic initiatives, staff, and services to ensure efficient service delivery, avoid duplication of service, ensure fiscal accountability and maximizing staff resources. The Program Director reports and recommends practice and policy improvements and direction, interprets, and implements recommended and required practice updates and improvement plans while coordinating with contract monitoring and case management IT within OCYF and with the Department of Human Services offices of Behavioral Health, Community Services and Bureau of Drug & Alcohol and Early Intervention, Juvenile Probation and the 5th Judicial District. The integration model and Program Director role informs the Family Preservation Division of OCYF, designed to address disparities in service referrals, access, and engagement to improve the health and well-being of children, youth and families by leveraging parental protective factors known to strengthen families, prevent child abuse and neglect and improve the well-being and prospects of those served. This includes continuous community and systems outreach re-introducing OCYF’s prevention practices as informed through an integrated assessment and enhanced practices yielding targeted formal and informal service linkages while maximizing existing connections to address familial and individual needs including early intervention, preventive care and health screenings and access, behavioral health screening response and access, intimate partner violence (IPV) screening response and support.
Identifies opportunities for integration and efficiencies within OCYF and with other internal and external partners and systems; develops practice improvement and action plans for achieving those goals.
Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Full-time employment.- Work hours are 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, Monday - Friday, with a 1-hour lunch.

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year as a Children, Youth, and Families Program Specialist 2; or
- Five years of professional level experience in the field of children, youth and families, including three years of administrative, supervisory, or consultative work; and a bachelor's degree; or
- Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
