Job Duties/Essential Functions
- Greets members, helps members load order onto conveyor belt, determines member packing preferences, answers questions, relates information on special promotions, thanks members, assists cashier by counting items left in cart, checking under items and positioning them for scanning. Provides prompt and courteous member service.
- Packs member orders into boxes and loads to a separate cart or flatbed. Checks packaging for tampering. Follows all safety and security procedures. Follows proper departmental procedures for performance of duties. Assists members loading orders into car when appropriate.
- Runs for items such as merchandise, boxes, register supplies, and item numbers as requested by cashiers to keep lines moving smoothly.
- Maintains cleanliness of register area and general front end area. Cleans spills and trip hazards immediately.
- Retrieves carts and flatbeds from parking area using a rope with clasping hook, pushing no more than 10 carts together. Keeps lot area free of debris and sweeps in front of building.
- Performs set up and closing duties for the department, such as returning products, collecting paperwork, stocking registers, and cleaning area.
- Ensures proper cleanup and disposal of hazardous materials
- Regular and reliable workplace attendance at your assigned location. Ability to operate vehicles, equipment or machinery

- Assists with front end duties as necessary.

- Hazard Communication and JHA (initial assignment), Costco Hazardous Materials DOT Training Course: Part 1 (within 30 days and then every year), Hazmat Universal Waste Training- Short Version (within 30 days and then every year), Option STOP Training (within 30 days).
- Must be current on annual safety training within 30 days of hire. Recommended:
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- Customer service skills preferred. Other Conditions
