The QuikTrip Accounting department is now accepting applications for a Manufacturing & Distribution Cost Analyst to work at the Corporate Office in Tulsa, OK.

This position is responsible for performing a wide variety of Cost Accounting functions including, but not limited to, accurate, clean, and timely reconciliation of general ledger accounts including raw materials and manufactured goods inventory, work in process, accounts payable related to inventory purchases for resale and accounts receivable related to merchandise sales to retailer. Implement cost standards, setup and maintenance of raw materials used in the manufacturing process and products/manufactured goods and supplies for resale. This includes, but not limited to, margin analysis, bill of materials, units of measure, and cost and retail values. Financial accounting functions for Quik’N Tasty Foods, Inc. utilizing the JD Edwards EnterpriseOne (E1) Manufacturing and Distribution, Inventory Management, and General Ledger modules. This position will report to the Manufacturing and Distribution Accounting Manager.

The requirements for this position include:

• Must have successfully completed Intermediate Accounting II AND Cost Accounting I.
• Three years’ experience in an accounting environment to include two years’ experience in detail accounting (both theory and application).
• Excellent customer service, communication, organizational, and time management skills.
• Strong analytical and number perception skills.
• Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office products with an Intermediate skill level in the use of Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and/or projects simultaneously. Detail oriented. Follow-up skills.

The hours for this position are Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. but may vary according to business needs, projects, and deadlines. The minimum starting pay for this position can be up to $25.98-$28.27 per hour, depending on related experience and qualifications.

B. The major functions for this position:

1. Perform clean, accurate, and timely general ledger account reconciliations. Disclose all unexplained amounts and/or variances to management in a timely manner.

• a. Weekly reconciliation of inventory on hand quantity and value, as a result of inventory related transactions, (Cardex) to the general ledger Balance Sheet Inventory accounts.
• b. Weekly reconciliation of intercompany accounts receivable related to Quik N’ Tasty Foods, Inc.’s sales to QT Stores.
• c. Monthly reconciliation of Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) bank drafts to accounts payable vouchers processed against related purchase orders.
• d. Monthly reconciliation of general ledger accounts affected by the manufacturing and distribution processes.
• e. Quarterly reconciliation of Quik’N Tasty Foods, Inc.’s tote perpetual inventory to the physical inventory counts, taking into consideration Reserves for Loss Allowance and Damage. This requires planning, communication, and coordination with Operations personnel.

2. Perform setup and maintenance of raw materials used in the manufacturing process, manufactured goods and products for resale, including, but not limited to:

• a. Facilitate communication with the Corporate Sales Managers (CSM) to ensure a clear understanding of objectives and details necessary for an accurate and timely setup and/or maintenance of items.
• b. Manufacturing and warehousing business unit cost, QuikTrip Stores’ store delivered cost, and bill-in retail inventory value.
• c. Maintain accurate and current advanced pricing records related to state mandated taxes on cigarette, tobacco, and e-cig products and other misc. items.
• d. Maintain accurate and current bill of material for manufactured goods.
• e. Analyze by-item margins to ensure accuracy and reasonableness.
• f. Daily review of all system-generated reports that indicate setup or maintenance errors or discrepancies, and complete resolutions prior to end of day processing.
• g. In the event of undetected discrepancies of the “intent vs. the outcome” of item setup and maintenance tasks, prepare QT Store Merchandise A/P Inventory adjustments to correct Quik’N Tasty Foods, Inc.’s sales, QT Stores’ cost, QT Stores’ retail inventory, and/or intercompany accounts receivable/accounts payable.

3. Perform systems interface reconciliations for Quik’N Tasty Foods, Inc.

• a. Sales and Credit Orders in E1 as compared to the QuikTrip Stores’ Merchandise Inventory System.
• 5% of total job
• Frequency: Daily and Weekly

4. Calculate and record Quik’N Tasty Foods, Inc. monthly financial entries, including but not limited to, QT Store Damage on Arrival, Non-Store purchases and the related Sales/Use tax calculations and accruals, In-Transit Sales to QT Stores, calculate and record income related to product delivery to stores, and reclassifying journal entries as requested by operational staff.

5. Maintain item data and record financial impact related to transactions and processes of the QTD/QTK Campus Stores. Including but not limited to:

• a. Maintenance of master templates showing items available for purchase by warehouse/kitchen personnel.
• b. Maintenance of item records and appropriate tax rates in the online POS system.
• c. Recording monthly audit and product spoilage expenses to the general ledger.
• d. Recording monthly sales and cost of goods sold to the general ledger, related to sell of product to warehouse/kitchen personnel.
• 10% of total job

6. Perform a comparison of the components in a manufactured good (bill of material) to a formal recipe developed by our Food Innovation and Product Development department. Publish comparison to Corporate Sales Manager (CSM) and Production Engineer for review. Enter adjustments to bill of material, as needed.

7. Provide backup and support within the Manufacturing and Distribution Accounting department as a result of vacations and other employee absences.

8. Provide accounting support and timely issue resolution to Quik’N Tasty Foods, Inc. management and operational staff.

9. Responsible for the accurate and timely creation and maintenance of Manufacturing & Distribution Cost Analyst function procedures.

10. Special projects or assignments as directed by the Manufacturing and Distribution Accounting Manager, Assistant Controller-Product and Store Accounting, and/or Corporate Controller.

• 3. Required experience: Three years’ experience in an accounting environment to include two years’ experience in detail accounting (both theory and application).
• 4. Desired experience: Five years’ financial accounting and reporting experience, cost accounting experience in a manufacturing and/or warehousing environment, and retail inventory method of accounting.
• 5. Required skills: Excellent customer service, communication, organizational, and time management skills. Strong analytical and number perception skills. Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office products with an Intermediate skill level in the use of Microsoft Excel. Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and/or projects simultaneously. Detail oriented. Follow-up skills.
• 6. Desired skills: Advanced skill level in the use of Microsoft Excel. Familiarity with foundation modules within an ERP system (preferably JD Edwards EnterpriseOne). Familiarity with Cognos reporting tools capability. Strong general ledger reconciliation skills.
