Cost Accountant

Reports to: VP of Finance

Location: Liverpool

Full Time: Monday – Friday 8:30 am- 5 pm

Exempt: $55K-$65K depending on experience

What is a Cost Accountant

• 
  Reconcile inventory balances and material cost of goods sold. Research any discrepancies and/or unusual transactions. This includes raw materials and finished goods inventory, scrap, cycle counts, and overhead.
• Provide a detailed cost estimate for new products and proposed changes to current products.
• Participate in the month-end close process, analyzing anomalies and recording journal entries as needed.

Conditions of Employment

• BS in Accounting is preferred or comparable experience
• CMA/MBA preferred.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
• 3+ years of Cost Accounting experience in a manufacturing setting is strongly preferred.
• Strong Excel skills are essential.
• Prior experience with NetSuite is a plus.
• Regularly required to hear, have repetitive motion of hands or wrists, and finger, grasp, handle or feel.
• It is frequently required to sit and talk. Lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
• Occasionally required to stand and walk; reach with arms and/or hands; crouch, bend or kneel, and climb. Lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
