The Corporate Trainer will perform a variety of duties including the scoping, designing, and creation of training content and materials and the facilitation of The Durst Organization’s training programs. They will utilize evaluation methodologies for the purpose of determining the quality of internal and external training programs. Additionally, this position supports and assists with the design and delivery of professional skills, compliance and Human Resources processes and policies related to learning activities.
Salary Range: $100,000 - $120,000 Responsibilities:
The Corporate Trainer successfully implements all of The Durst Organization’s employee education programs and professional development opportunities. In collaboration with the Learning and Development Manager, the Corporate Trainer will develop a learning strategy for The Durst Organization that drives and supports our Strategic Plan.

They will utilize evaluation methodologies for the purpose of determining the quality of internal and external training programs. Additionally, this position supports and assists with the design and delivery of professional skills, compliance and Human Resources processes and policies related to learning activities.
Salary Range: $100,000 - $120,000
- Plan, develop, and provide training and staff development programs using knowledge of the effectiveness of methods of instruction for adult learners such as classroom training, demonstrations, online delivery, on-the-job training, conferences, and workshops
- Plans, prepares, and researches lessons including instructional documents and manuals relevant to learning programs.
- Evaluates outcomes and the impact of training and improves/updates content as needed based on changing business requirements.
- Develops follow-up sessions and materials to encourage ongoing application of skills learned in learning sessions.
- Develops, improves, and delivers ongoing training sessions related to acclimating new hires to PC systems and Cyber Security Awareness training during the onboarding process.
- Designs and facilitates specialized high quality training sessions for departments and staff in small and large settings for a variety of business functions and applications
- Ability to facilitate interactive and effective virtual, hands-on, and classroom-based learning experiences.
- Supports and assists with the design and delivery of professional skills, compliance and Human Resources processes and policy related to learning activities.
- Maintains company-wide education calendar, identifies conflicts, and suggests solutions.
- Anticipates employee needs and makes appropriate recommendations/briefings.
- Identifies and makes recommendations related to learning activities using external vendors when appropriate and leveraging a variety of learning platforms such as e-learning.
- Performs regular research for continuous learning of industry knowledge and trends, procedures, and applications.
- Maintains a safe and secure work environment by following organizational standards. Partners with key stakeholders to determine best approach for developing new training platforms with a focus on specific applications or general desktop knowledge.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
- Certified Professional in Learning and Performance (CPLP), preferred
- 3+ years of experience with technical training, preferred
- Experience in designing and delivering training
- Knowledge of the principles of training
- Knowledge of instructional design
- Knowledge of evaluation and analysis methods for content and delivery processes
- Ability to apply quality methods of instruction for adult learners
- Ability to write and assess learning objectives
- Knowledge of and ability to apply training best practices and instructional design principles
- Ability to evaluate, audit, deduce, and/or assess data and/or information using established criteria, showing good judgment in the vetting process
- Demonstrates computer proficiency, including but not limited to, Microsoft Office, WebEx MS Access Databases and Adobe
- Certification in Training Facilitation & Design a plus
- Ability to learn new systems and become a subject matter expert on software applications through self-directed learning while remaining current with the product as updates are made.
- Demonstrates strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment
- Ability to organize, coordinate and execute projects on time and with quality.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Experience with using and facilitating training related to Learning Management Systems is a plus
- Ability to design and deliver non-technical (such as communication skills) and compliance related training is a plus.
