ConMet has an exciting new opportunity for a Corporate Buyer to work out of our office in Vancouver, WA overlooking the Columbia River. This role will provide new product sourcing and procurement support for the ConMet eMobility business and is open due to key growth.

Qualified candidates will have a strong knowledge of procurement, be able to work in a fast-paced environment and enjoy sourcing new and exciting components.

This role requires working in an office environment (not hybrid or remote) at ConMet's corporate headquarters in Vancouver, Washington. Local candidates encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

• Support research and identification of potential new suppliers for eMobility projects.
• Secure and track NDAs and potential supplier audits results from new suppliers as required.
• Solicit RFQ’s for eMobility related project materials and communicate results to management.
• Accurately load material price files and scheduling agreements for eMobility components in ERP system.
• Define and oversee loading initial material planning settings for eMobility purchase components in ERP system
• Accurately maintain and support quarterly standard cost updates for eMobility related components.
• Administer and manage discrete purchase orders for engineering prototype and design validation requirements.
• Support purchasing activities as it relates to eMobility field service and aftermarket related requirements.
• Support tagging and maintaining records for company owned assets located at supplier locations.
• Assist in development and implementation of sourcing strategies to reduce cost, ensure quality and uninterrupted supply.
• Identify and implement key cost saving opportunities resulting in significant savings to the company on an annual basis

Required Experience

• Bachelor’s degree
• Minimum of three years of experience in the field of procurement and materials.
• Strong negotiation skills.

Preferred Experience

• Electric vehicle, automotive or commercial vehicle industry experience is highly desired.
• International purchasing experience is preferred.

• Working understanding of domestic and international logistics (Ocean, air and OTR)
• Strong understanding of ERP Systems and their operation, specifically SAP.
• Ability and familiarity with engineering drawings/prints and specifications.
