3M Corporate Audit is seeking a Global PMO Manager to lead its Health Care Business Group spin activities. 3M Corporate Audit is seeking a Global PMO Manager to lead its Health Care Business Group spin activities. The ideal candidate will have proven experience with financial reporting, SOX requirements and related process methodologies. As a Global PMO Manager, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:
- Acting as liaison with the Global Sr. Manager of Strategy & SOX in Corporate Audit and the Finance Spin Management Office (SMO) for all workstream efforts related to the spin of 3M’s Health Care Business Group
- Developing a Corporate Audit Playbook that encompasses all global, standard organizational policies and procedures that can be leveraged by both Spin Co. and Remain Co.
- Conducting SOX scoping analysis for both companies based on expected materiality
- Analyzing the current Risk & Controls Matrix and identifying the appropriate control structure for both companies based on operational model and technology decisions made by the SMO
- Leading controls rationalization efforts, including improving control descriptions and mapping of risks and financial statement assertions
- Preparing key stakeholders for SOX readiness, including providing education and training
- Working with process and control owners on remediation activities of any identified process gaps or control deficiencies
Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) in a Finance or Accounting discipline
- Eight (8) years of SOX compliance experience in a private, public, government or military environment
- CPA, CA, CISA, and/or CIA Certification
- Big 4 integrated-audit experience
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
- In-depth knowledge of US GAAP, COSO, PCAOB Auditing Standards, Sarbanes-Oxley, risk and controls standards, and business process best practices
- Proven experience in supporting the execution of an end-to-end SOX program and driving/supporting risk management initiatives of an enterprise-wide SOX program
- Experience in managing a remote team
- Detail-oriented with strong project management, analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication (verbal and written), collaboration, and presentation skills
- Experience managing project work with tight deadlines and working in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to engage at all levels of the organization
- Demonstrated success in developing and executing against project plans
- Comfortable in both individual contributing roles and cross-functional team management roles
Work location: Work Your Way Eligible (Employee choice to work remote, on site, or hybrid)
Travel: May include up to 15% domestic/international
